questions, answered plainly
what is sovev?
an ai personal stylist for the clothes you already own. you photograph your closet once, take a two-minute taste quiz, and sovev composes a named, reasoned outfit every morning from your actual wardrobe, matched to your local weather and the day's occasion.
what does it cost?
everything is free during early access, no card required. at launch, the closet itself (photograph, tag, build outfits manually, track laundry) stays free; the stylist tier with unlimited ai styling, chat, and weekly planning is $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year ($5.83 a month). for scale: one human-styled lookbook of ten outfits runs about $150, more than two years of sovev annual.
do i have to buy anything?
no. sovev works on the clothes you already own. at most it will name the one piece worth adding when a real wardrobe gap blocks a real occasion, never a feed of products.
how is sovev different from other outfit apps?
most outfit apps either push shopping or generate generic looks. sovev starts from a taste quiz, keeps learning from what you actually wear, save, swap, and skip, and explains every outfit it proposes. it also respects reality: what is clean, what is resting, what the weather is doing, and what you wore this week.
what happens to my closet photos?
they are stored privately, tied to your account, and processed by anthropic's claude models to tag garments and compose outfits. sovev runs no ads and sells no data. you can delete your account, photos included, from inside the app. details in the privacy policy.
does it work on iphone and android?
yes. sovev is a web app you can install to your home screen (a pwa) on ios, android, and desktop. it keeps an offline shell, and can send an optional morning outfit notification.
do i have to photograph every single piece?
each piece is photographed once, ever. there is also a lay-flat mode in beta: several garments in one photo, and sovev finds and tags each one.
who are the guest stylists?
six original stylist personas (greta, sol, marcello, miles, vesper, and whit), each with a distinct styling method and palette. pick one for an occasion and your outfits take on that point of view, while your own taste profile still wins on hard limits.
can it plan more than one day?
yes. sovev plans a full week in one pass (spreading rotation so the same pieces do not repeat) and packs for trips from your closet, sized to the destination weather.
